OUR STORY
Kirstie and Truman met in July of 2017, with a minor assist from OkCupid.
Kirstie had just come home to L.A. after living overseas and backpacking through South America, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe.
Truman had been living in L.A. for six years, riding the subway between Hollywood, North Hollywood, and East Hollywood.
Their first date started at a wine bar and ended eight hours later at an all-night pie restaurant. Their second date started less than 24 hours after that, with Kurt Vonnegut puns followed by Argentine food.
Over the past eight and a half years, they’ve traveled the world, survived global chaos, and sat in the drive-thru line at In-N-Out Burger debating the deep lore of Cheers and The Muppet Show.
On September 28th, 2025, they got engaged in Madrid’s Plaza Mayor.
On October 3rd, 2026, they’re getting married on a rooftop in Downtown Los Angeles.
